Digital Detox is a retreat center that provides an "unplugged" experience for individuals, families, and companies to put aside their digital arm, and gain perspective to reemerge with newfound inspiration, balance and connection.
Below is a campaign for the retreat center consisting of jumbled posters that, when scanned, lead you to a short gif and article on why a digital detox will enhance your lifestyle.
This DD campaign relates addiction and detoxing to the consistent dependence our society has to our screens. The campaign is meant to encourage people to interact with the world as much as they interact with technology.
Inspired by the idea of how quickly technology evolves and grows, this campaign uses bold colors and jumbled movements to force people to take the time to look up from their phones and read the posters.
The color overlays that are used are comments on the filter society puts on themselves when curating life through social media. Because Red and Blue are used in creating 3D effects, I used them to show the contrast between living in real life versus through a 2D screen. The color choices mixed with tropical and environmental graphics alludes to the idea of a "vacation" aka the digital detox retreat.
